TRAVEL • SEP 2017 • CROATIA (ZAGREB, PLITVICE, ROVINJ, PULA, SPLIT, KOMIZA/VIS, HVAR, ZADAR, DUBROVNIK)

We may not be much of a Games of Thrones fan, but Croatia's appeal extends beyond the otherworldly scenes in the series, and so the big travel project of Summer 2017 was put to action. While the country may not be as off the beaten track as we have originally thought, there are certainly some interesting highlights that made the whole trip all the more memorable, including our road trip into the countryside dotted with abandoned houses, the labyrinthine charm that is Rovinj, the sleepy but beautiful village of Komiza, those liberating experiences in the form of nude beaches, and the glorious platters of the freshest seafood that I have ever had.

And as though juggling between the SLR and the drone is not enough work, I added one more gear to my list - the DJI Osmo Mobile, which I used for some casual videography on the iPhone. It's fun to give my travel stories another perspective but I'm not sure if I'll ever find enough energy to repeat this for another trip.
