this time in the company of Mum, and against a backdrop of a constant drizzling and a moody sky that got completely dark everyday at 530pm. *SULKZ*

And no thanks to the aftermath of the typhoon season, we had to drop our plans for Alishan national park as apparently the good stuff will take a few years to be restored. *SIGH*

The movie 2012 opened with much fanfare on the week that we arrived. Didn't manage to catch it there because first it was rather impossible to get good seats and also the ticket price alone was about double of KL. :P

Jiu Fen's hectic tourist lanes stuff with throngs of visitors local and abroad, all out today to take advantage of the wonderfully cooling weather, doesn't mind the occasional drizzle.

Oyster pancake, usually soaked in the red sauce that you see in the pic. Not used to the taste of it so we requested for just a spoonful. :P

Shi Lin shopping district - another crowded affair. After awhile the throngs of shoppers just kinda got to me, not easy to even stand still for a shot.

Xi Men Ding area - everyone's taking advantage of the nice cooling weather to dress up a little. I felt totally underdressed in just my tshirt and jeans.

Mum makes friend, even the furry kind, with the slightest effort, wherever she goes. :P
