My second trip to Taipei - here comes a journey of rediscoveries of the everyday lives of Taipei folks. Yes you

this time in the company of Mum, and against a backdrop of a constant drizzling and a moody sky that got completely dark everyday at 530pm. *SULKZ*

And no thanks to the aftermath of the typhoon season, we had to drop our plans for Alishan national park as apparently the good stuff will take a few years to be restored. *SIGH*

Still, I hope you enjoy the album. :)

The familiar sights and sounds and hecticness of XiMenDing shopping district - you can never get bored of capturing its various facets throughout the day.

Passengers criss-crossing at the busy Taipei railway station interchange station.

The movie 2012 opened with much fanfare on the week that we arrived. Didn't manage to catch it there because first it was rather impossible to get good seats and also the ticket price alone was about double of KL. :P

A Heartpatrick adhoc portrait shoot in Taipei? Hmm.. well the backdrop may work yes.

Looking out from the Jiu Fen.

Jiu Fen's hectic tourist lanes stuff with throngs of visitors local and abroad, all out today to take advantage of the wonderfully cooling weather, doesn't mind the occasional drizzle.

OK this somehow reminds me of foetuses.

Another look at the sprawling hillside neighbourhood of Jiu Fen.

OMG a deserted old-school cinema! *looks around for potential model.

Another hectic night at the Shi Lin night market.

Oyster pancake, usually soaked in the red sauce that you see in the pic. Not used to the taste of it so we requested for just a spoonful. :P

Shi Lin shopping district - another crowded affair. After awhile the throngs of shoppers just kinda got to me, not easy to even stand still for a shot.

Xi Men Ding area - everyone's taking advantage of the nice cooling weather to dress up a little. I felt totally underdressed in just my tshirt and jeans.

Dan Shui.

Yummy juicy large charcoaled squid. OMG so unhealthy but SO irresistable.

Mum makes friend, even the furry kind, with the slightest effort, wherever she goes. :P

The symmetrical properties of thic composition captivates me - two trees, two aunties and one hill in between.

"Madam, grandma ran out of adult diapers..."

Xin Yi shopping district. *Yawn* bring me back to the dilapidated side lanes of Xi Men Ding please.:P
