The Sheraton
Sunset

I stood by the window while watching the lavendar sky emptied of colour,
and had the most wicked realisation that I actually had made it back to the city to watch this all over again!

Sheraton Galleria

      Glorious Shade
Took an aimless stroll all over the park watching Houston folks absolutely enjoying themselves bathing in the early evening sun, while I ducked the killer rays moving from one shady spot to another.

Hermann Park

      Food Galore
This Marriott hotel room had absolutely not seen such a marvellous collection of foodstock! With generous portions of Lipton Green Tea, spicy instant noodles and miscellaneous tidbits, I thought gastronomically I had never left home.

Dreaming
of
Shoes
Wandering about the deserted downtown area on an early Sunday morning, I looked down and realised how pitifully worn my shoes were against the newly laid coloured bricks, and so came an excuse to get four new pairs while at Sketchers.

      A Leafy Collection
Ahhhh.... More shades!

Houston Downtown

      *Yawn*
The first weekend, and I was already growing cobwebs while staring out the window watching another lazy sunset.

Marriott Springhill

      Concrete Death
The starving plant wandered
for miles across the length and breath of the concrete slab in search of water and nutrients, yet all that is left is a shadowy past that hangs on tirelessly as a legacy to this painstaking journey in vain.

The Stop Sign
“Stop sulking!” Glass Door rolled her eyes and snapped at Stop Sign. “Your emotions, seething red, or otherwise, mean nothing to no one besides yourself. You could lie there till your colours fade and your metal corrodes away, and all that's left is a pile of metal dust that eventually disperses off into the wind, or you could just quit it and get back to work!”

      Wrong Way Up
An escape plan gone awdfully wrong, the orange balloon cried in silence amidst the intertwining twigs and leaves and waited for its final moments as its body emptied of air.

Hermann Park

Trees In Love
The two trees looked forward with quiet anticipation to the day when they branches will grow big and wide enough to finally touch one another, and then be joined forever in a glorious matrimony of love.

Vivid Showoff
Bearing colours more striking than the rainbow, the umbrella had no trouble standing out among its dull-coloured neighbours.

Market Square, San Antonio

      The Survivors 1
Followed a tourist map only to discover a neglected garden that had seen a more glorious past, yet some residents stubbornly carried on their promise to an otherwise broken dream.

      The Survivors 2
It seemed the towering tree would grow its roots so deep that it would reach a reliable water source that would remain long after the ponds had dried up.

      Golden Marriage
Oh! I never know of such interesting affiliation, at least the colours matches.

Ready For The Cowboys
This annual event was the reason most hotels were full throughout the few weeks it was on. We just had to come see this for ourselves.
