I cannot imagine public transportation can be this much of a joyride. The Shonan Monorail began operations in the year 1970, and is till now only one of two Japan's suspended train systems. Snaking along a 6.6km scenic route from Ofuna to Enoshima, with plenty of up and downhill stretches for added drama, and two tunnels along the way, this ride feels like it came straight out of a themepark.
