KAMPAR |
URBAN HERITAGE • AUG 2016 • KAMPAR, PERAK
Kampar's revival from a sleepy ex tin-mining town to its current thriving self is definitely a tale envied by many. The setting up of TAR College in 2003 and subsequently UTAR brought with it a fresh breath of development and buzz driven by the growing undergrads population. This short weekend getaway was mainly to capture some family snapshots for a cousin whose daughter attended the convocation at the university. I took the chance of course to explore the old town area as well, of which highlights included the old bus station and apartment complex nearby.
